Summer comes with bright sunshine, popsicles, and fresh fruits, a great time to go outdoors. On May 31st, folks from CereCare Wellness Center and Sunshine Home enjoyed a fun afternoon with volunteers from LVMH Group in a local orchard.
This time, volunteers from LVMH would get to know people with a different life trajectory. For the kids from CereCare Wellness Center, going out can be difficult. With cerebral palsy, they are not able to run or walk as other children due to their low mobility. Students from Sunshine Home mostly consist of mentally disabled people. This filed trip was truly a huge leap for them. With support from LVMH volunteers, participants visited various gardens, getting to know how different fruits and vegetable were grown.
Volunteers and kids dived into tomato garden, looking for those ripe ones. With the fresh harvested tomatoes, participants then enjoyed making salad together. Through collaboration and guidance from the volunteers, kids from CereCare and Sunshine Home had the opportunity to taste their own fruits of labor.
A difference either mentally or physically cannot be the threshold for enjoying our life. Thanks again for these caring volunteers from LVMH Group, they helped build a happy memory for these kids. If you also want to make a difference for others, join us today!
