First Team Building in 2012 was held

HandsOn ShanghaiHandsOn Shanghai
To celebrate a great start into the new year HandsOn Shanghai held the first team building event on February 18th for all its team leaders and education volunteers. The theme of the activity was clay designing. Two team leaders, who are very good at clay designing, first taught the others some basic skills, such as making little flowers etc. Then the volunteers had some time to practice the new art for themselves. Some made beautiful glittering butterflies under the instruction of one of the teachers, others totally followed their own imagination and created beautiful flower vases, colorful birds, cute ducks and frogs, gracious giraffes etc. Time flew by so fast and everyone had a fun time.
When the creative part of the day finished we all had a pizza lunch together which made the morning complete.

After the team building volunteer team leaders were invited to stay and participate in a workshop about a new HandsOn Shanghai elderly care center project called “Wonderful Moments”.

I had not a deep feeling about volunteer and felt very sorry about could not be a volunteer all the time. But now I can share more experience after participating in music volunteer activities for one year. Generally the piano in the hospital lobby is just a furnishings if no volunteer play it. And you could not image how happy the children and their parents listen to the music.
